A makeover starts with what works
Keeping a sound cabinet structure and a layout you like can make a makeover practical. Begin by listing what bothers you: tired fronts, worn worktops, awkward handles or missing storage. A refresh can address those elements without automatically replacing every cabinet.
Check the kitchen before choosing finishes
A competent survey needs to assess cabinet strength, water damage, squareness, hinges, appliance fronts, worktop joints and access. Doors will not solve damp cabinets or a layout that no longer meets your needs. Structural, electrical and plumbing changes need separate assessment.
